Treatments related to motor vehicle collisions:

You are in charge of your claim. This keeps you accountable to your progress and coverage limits. This also relieves me of the financial strain of going unpaid for any length of time in the event that your PIP is exhausted during treatment.

Call your car insurance carrier and open a bodily injury claim under your PIP coverage, if you are enrolled. Tell them you will be receiving treatment and that you will be submitting invoices for direct reimbursement. Ask them what information you will need to have included on the invoice that I provide you.

From there an appointment with a general practitioner, chiropractor, osteopathic doctor, or other  medical professional endowed with the ability to write prescriptions is necessary to obtain a prescription for massage.

We can schedule as many appointments as you would like with the explicit understanding that my late minute cancellation policy of 48 hours notice or a full charge will be in place, with no exceptions.

A Note on Private Insurance:
I am currently not credentialed with any private health insurers as they make the reimbursement process arduous and do not reimburse providers a fair rate.

Please check with your insurance company regarding out of network providers and ask them about direct reimbursement via a superbill.

Many clients choose to use FSA/HSA accounts to pay at time of service.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I expect during my first visit to CPM?
Upon booking your first session, please check your email, including update or spam folders for the confirmation welcome note. There you will find directions to the space and instructions on parking.

What should I wear to my session?
Wear comfortable clothing that is easy to get out of and put back on so you can enjoy the post-massage float back to your home. If we decide to do a Craniosacral session you can opt to stay clothed. If you need tissue work on more than one region, I recommend undressing to your level of comfort. In the event we need to work on muscles of the pelvis or chest, it may be necessary to remove undergarments prior to getting started. We will establish the areas of concern in the intake process and decide how best to access these when tableside.

What can massage help me with?
Conditions treated include headache, migraine, jaw dysfunction, sore or strained muscles, muscle spasms, achy or stiff joints, joints with limited range of motion, physical and emotional trauma (capitol and lower case t), or advancing an embodiment practice.

What conditions can Craniosacral Therapy help me with?
Conditions treated include all of the above listed in the massage category and a few more! By tuning into the layers of the nervous system we can effect change in post concussion syndrome, balance issues, vertigo, dizziness, vision issues, tinnitus and sinus issues. Additionally, Craniosacral can facilitate profound change in our psycho-spiritual-emotional well being. If you have been looking for a deeper connection with your Self, or to metabolize trauma that keeps cycling through and keeps you feeling stuck, give it a try. It can be used as an effective compliment to mental health therapies, especially EMDR and IFS.

How often should I get a massage?
As someone who went through several training programs and received multiple massages a week for months, I can honestly say it is dealer's choice. If you are seeking injury treatment one or two sessions a week is recommended depending on the nature of the injury and your body's particular threshold for input and ability to integrate change.
Some folks choose to use massage as regular maintenance on a weekly, monthly, or seasonal basis. I'm here to support you on whatever basis you feel appropriate. Keep in mind that effecting change requires work on and off the table.

Are same day appointments available?
No.

What if I am arriving late?
Appointments that start up to 10 minutes late can be accommodated with a call or text check in expected.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule within the 48 hour cancellation policy time?
A call in is required to cancel or reschedule within the 48 hour period. The full session amount may be charged at my discretion. Please be respectful of my time and conscious of your schedule before booking appointments. Please also hold the appointments you schedule here with regard. The work we do together is not trivial.

Can I talk during my session?
Sure! Let's chat, or let's be quiet. I welcome conversation within parameters of bodywork and certain tangents are bound to happen.  As a matter of course, it is my habit to prioritize conversation with the body and this work will be at the forefront of my focus. I want to ensure we are addressing your treatment goals that we set together during the intake. In the event the bodywork elicits an emotional release, we can take our time to help your nervous system regulate. This can be related to a physical injury or an emotional trauma of known or forgotten provenance. In general this is your time to receive care.

Can I request specific music?
I select music that is designed to entrain your nervous system to a theta or delta brain wave. This technical piece effectively allows your brain to shift from a mode of doing things to a space of relaxation. Focus on your breathing and let your mind drift.

What forms of payment are accepted?
I accept cash, Zelle, debit, credit, health savings/flexible spending accounts, check, silver, and gold.

When should I not get a massage?
Massage is contraindicated when you are experiencing an acute illness with symptoms of fever, cough, sneezing, or any other symptom that generally accompanies a communicable illness. If you have been sick in the last 24 hours and no longer "feel contagious," chances are you still are and need to reschedule.  Being respectful of other people's levels of susceptibility should be at the forefront of consideration. The list of other contraindications can be researched on your own, you can always email me with questions.
